We have always been fascinated with insects and their many shapes, textures and colors. Their size and exotic nature seemed perfect for jewelry ideas and designs.
Initially we made brooches, pendants and necklaces based on living species, but recently we’ve been exploring decorative and ornamental insect designs as well.
Most of our jewelry is made with glass enamel over hammered and chased fine silver and copper with additonal sterling silver elements. However, there are also non-enameled insects that feature richly textured and chased sterling silver, brass and copper. Torch oxidation and patinas will often be used to add color.
